A two-day national webinar was organized by the Department of Physics, Ram Ratan Singh College, Mokama (A constituent unit of Patliputra University, Patna) on 6th and 7th June, 2020.
The topic of the webinar was ‘Supercapacitor Materials’ for the future energy storage systems. This webinar is intended for motivating the young students and faculties in different state-of-the-art Institution at the area of energy storage research. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Patliputra University, Prof. Gulab Chand Ram Jaisawal inaugurated the webinar and portrayed the importance of energy storage system in his speech. The Principal of R.R.S. College, Mokama, Dr. Jitendra Rajak (Also, Convenor of this event) welcomed all the participants and showed his gratitude to the members of the organizing committee, all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college for their extended supports. He also congratulates Dr. Ayan Mukherjee, organizing secretary, Dr. Ranjan Kumar, programme co-ordinator, Dr. Laxman Singh and Dr. Raj Narayan Singh for successfully organizing the webinar.
Prof. Partha Mitra from The University of Burdwan, West Bengal, Dr. Rajib Nath from Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, Purulia, West Bengal and Dr. Atanu Roy from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Jerusalem, Israel and Dr. Laxman Singh from R.R.S. College discussed different aspects of the supercapacitor and battery materials. Dr. Ayan Mukherjee, Dept. of Physics, R.R.S. College presented the current scenario of energy storage research in a nutshell and also discussed the research facilities available in India on this field.
The webinar was organized in the wake of pandemic COVID-19 and hence successful in its aim.
